So just over a week ago Atlus asked their fans for video responses to a couple pretty straight-forward relationship questions. The idea was to mix them all together for the upcoming Catherine trailer, mirroring the same thing they did in Japan right before the game launched there. Besides seeing news clips about the contest going up I didn’t honestly care about it, that is until I saw this entry:
That is right, Aksys, the sort of main competitor with Atlus, posted a video that only served to show off the hot anime girls in its upcoming weird Japanese game. Say what you will about some of their marketing, taking some fairly tame games and making them seem so dirty that GameStop employees are told to keep them behind the counter, this takes balls. Giant, giant ones at that. You really do have to respect a company that is willing to advertise itself in another company’s ad.
