Spoony Bard Podcast: Episode 44: Double Cast

Don’t worry, we are back with another insanely awesome podcast. This week we talk about all kinds of things, why Saints Row the Third is awesome, my new 3DS, and the topics of the podcast; Mystical Ninja on the SNES and N64 as well as Diablo on the PC.  We also talk about some news of the world that has been happening this week, and oddly, since we are doing this regularly enough, we can really talk about the news happening.  Also we bring up new ideas that we have for the site.  Let us know what you think!

Melting faces off with a kind of awesome high rocking power that can only be described through Monster Trucks since 2003. Going through the continuing effort to create new, better, more interesting and joke-funnying content the entire time. I own the site. I know, hard to believe

Just got through listening. I can’t believe you didn’t even talk about the wacky humor in the N64 Mystical Ninja…it was like the elephant in the room.

Regarding your bad-movie-cast, I have a ton of suggestions.

Plan Nine From Outer Space–obvious but a good one to talk about, available at Cult of UHF (see below).
Guy With Secret Kung Fu–great kung-fu B-movie, it doesn’t even take itself seriously, available at Cult of UHF.
“Turkish Star Wars”–available on Youtube, AVGN did a fairly short review of it but I think you could do better.
MANOS: The Hands of Fate–THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME. I dare you to sit through this one. Available at various public domain movie archives.
The Streetfighter (1974, not the 90s one based on the game series)–actually halfway decent, but still definitely worth commenting on. Available on Youtube or various public domain movie archives.

..And there’s more where that came from.

Cult of UHF is a podcast (unfortunately, now defunct) that has public domain movies that are free to download. I haven’t even seen most of them, but the ones I’ve seen have been hilariously bad. It’s a pretty good resource if you’re looking for B-movies. So, now that you’re armed with all of these suggestions, hopefully you’ll have some material to work with if you decide to go forward with the second podcast.

BTW, when I said “defunct” I meant “they no longer add anything to it.” It’s still available on iTunes.

      •  Which is funny that you should add that, because we are having problems with the xml this week, so the new episode isn’t up on itunes yet.  Hopefully I can get it figured out today so it is.  Website bonus?

  • Awesome it nice to a other pod-cast hope to this become a regular thing :P.   Also I hope with the horror movie idea You guys should just use all the 80 ones.   Best time for horror and the best of the cheese there 🙂    Great podcast.    Also would still love to see the Breath of fire one.
