Spoony Bard Podcast: Episode 78: Teabagging is not a Crime

The long overdue podcast featuring your two favorite giant nerds has finally returned.  This go we talk about all of our experiences and fun centered in Halo.  I was a little surprised that we haven’t done one of these before, but considering that the new Master Chief Collection just came out it seemed like a good idea.  The rest of the idea was to have this paired with a stream of us going for hours in the multiplayer and showing the world how terrible we really are, but it turns out that 343 Studios was more concerned with getting the game out than they were with it functioning so we were unable to do that.

Spoony Bard Podcast: Episode 71: Not the Octopus

Hello and good morning everyone.  Today is a grand day because we have a brand new Spoony Bard Podcast for you, and it is about the best game in the world Disgaea!  Stark and I sit down and have an almost focused conversation about the history, the highs, the lows, the best and the even betters of the franchise.  If you think this is just a plow to spend an entire episode talking about the newest game, which just came out a couple of weeks ago, you would be about 100% correct.  Not to worry though, we also talk a bit about the new Pokemon game that just came out as well as the new Tales of game.  Remember to hit us up on iTunes for a review, because it really does help and let us know what you think in the comments.  You can also email us if you want your shit to be read on the show.

Spoony Bard Podcast: Episode 68: Night Time Neptunia

I started off calling this episode 67, it is 68.  I am sorry.  I just had just left work and looked it up during my lunch break.  I am sorry.

If I told you that this pod went off the tracks moments after it started I would be lying to you.  I think the problem is that when we don’t record for lengths of time we just have crazy ideas of things that we should tell the world.  Everything from the worst porn experiences that we could think about to… well pretty much anything that wasn’t edgy mascot games, which was the topic.  I think we can all agree that I hate mascot games and Stark.  I have since watched the third EVA movie, 3.33, and I still stand by saying that I would rather have been home then hanging out with him recording–even though it was kind of a confusing train wreck of a movie.

So Stark’s birthday is coming up on the 17th.  We are going to be doing a live event at his apartment where we drink way too much and play video games.  It came up that if anyone wanted to donate they could.  I will be putting in a donation link at the bottom if you want to buy him booze.  We will drink it on the stream, with a webcam on us.  You are allowed to tell us what to buy if you donate, or pretty much if you leave a comment.  Please keep in mind that we will try to buy it, but if we can’t find it please tell us what shelf too buy off instead (basement bottom shelf, for example, or Top Tier Awesome).

Spoony Bard Podcast: Episode 64: Veronica Confirmed for Bro

Strangely most people's favorite DQ

We have had this podcast in the bag for some time now, but it turns out that I wasn’t going to put it up until we got back on some kind of predictable schedule for recording.  While that isn’t true I still think that it is something that we should just go with.

We talk about Dragon Quest and how it makes us feel happy just knowing that series is out there.  Stark discusses like the series since it came out, while I am kind of a late comer to the party and talk about the possible influences that kept me from like the 8th one at all.  There is the normal off topic conversation, even though we probably talk way more coherently than we should considering the amount that we drank that night.

Let us know what you think in the comments!

The Spoony Bard Podcast: Episode 59: No One Gets Past the Fish, NO ONE!

You ever have one of those ideas, one that sounds great inside of your head and when you act on it you are just left there wondering what kind of a jerk your past self was?  That is kind of what happened to Stark and I this week.  We decided to go down the terrible and dirty road of playing product based games, like the Avoid the Noid game and ones entirely about Chester Cheetah.  Recently I have been called out for not liking some of the games from people’s childhood, but I can promise you on this one that if any of you liked this game you fell victim to just being a really stupid kid.  Don’t worry, we all liked Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles when it was on.

We also go off track and talk about Dishonored and X-Com and Mugen Souls and what have you, if you are interested in the latter half of the pod.
